Motivational Interviewing for Coaches

The fundamentals of motivational interviewing are covered by this course. It focused on evidence-based motivational interviewing (MI) clinical approaches. It will also explore the underlying spirit and values of MI. There will be practical activities to help participants improve their skills of empathy, recognize and elicit change talk, and roll with resistance. Selected research evidence will be reviewed on the efficacy of MI and for the importance of building therapeutic relationships in clients’ outcomes.
